What are private Guitar lessons? Whats in it for you?
Based in Calderdale, my private guitar lessons are extremely flexible. Private lessons are delivered at a time, and location that best suits you and your, or your child’s needs. Oftentimes, private guitar lessons take place in the comfort of your own home.
This means that you don’t need to worry about the pressure of getting to your lessons after a busy day. Afterall, you want to be able to enjoy your learning experience! Sitting in yet more traffic after your commute home is the last thing you likely want to do. You want to be able to kick back and relax. This is the best way to feel the benefits of engaging in music making; in a comfortable, familiar environment.
Sometimes you might need that extra bit of flexibility. Remote lessons are perfect in the event of being away from home, or on a snow day.
Differences between private and school or centre based guitar lessons
There are a few key differences between private lessons, and lessons delivered in a music centre, or within a school. Firstly, the stress of getting to your lesson is taken from you and absorbed by your teacher. This means you can get on with enjoying exactly what you want to do, however you want to do that.
Secondly, more from your child’s perspective, another benefit of private lessons is continuity. If your child has their lessons in primary school, what happens to those lessons when they transition to high school? Regularly, your child will make that transition, and their teacher won’t be able to follow them on their journey into the next chapter of their education. The student teacher relationship breaks down, and a new relationship often needs to be formed with a new teacher.
With private lessons, this isn’t an issue.
